Job Summary
The position involves provision of technical input & assurance throughout the project lifecycle including Conceptual, FEED, Detailed Design, Procurement, Construction, Installation & Commissioning stages, to safeguard design, technical and operational integrity.
Managing all CSO (Civil/Structures Offshore) engineering activities and deliverables for the HA/HB-Buko Projects.
Responsibilities
Ensure engineering design, procurement, fabrication, construction and installation is done in compliance with standards, project objectives, HSSE and contractual requirements.
Define Civil/Structural scope of work, specifications and requirements as part of ITT package. Applying Systems engineering and requirements management best practices to define minimum functional requirements and competitive project scope.
Perform technical studies & carry out structural analysis and design using SACS and other civil/structural design software.
Provide discipline expertise to manage contractor delivery of design and other specialist discipline work in line with project cost, schedule, quality & HSSE requirements.
Review and provide technical assurance to FEED & Detailed design deliverables.
Define geotechnical investigation work scope and perform foundation design.
Supervision and quality assurance of fabrication and site construction works.
Drive innovative solutions to achieve economic performance requirements throughout facilities lifecycle. Drive for increase in cost efficiency and reductions in project costs.
Manage multiple technical and non-technical interfaces and stakeholders
Manage technical risk by thorough understanding of relevant standards and expert review of deviations to Standards. Liaise with the Discipline Lead on all standards deviation matters.
Provide discipline input through participation at safety workshops & value assurance events e.g. HAZID, HAZOPS, VAR's and peer reviews etc.
Contribute to Team meetings and performance reporting.
Take a lead role in Renaissance's drive to enhance its Shallow Offshore structures Asset Integrity from a design, technical as well as an operational point of view.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering with minimum of 14 years' experience in Civil/ Structural engineering within the Oil and Gas Industry
Experience with offshore platforms, FPSOs, or onshore terminals is desirable.
Knowledge of HSSE framework and International engineering standards, best practices, and systems.
A good understanding of practices, standards and technologies relating to Oil and Gas facilities.
Demonstrable record of successfully delivering structural engineering solutions for new projects and existing assets integrity.
Proficient in the use of SACS software for offshore structures design
Strong team, personal and people management skills, committed to learning and continuous improvement
Considerable customer focus, interpersonal skills and commercial astuteness are required together with initiative, expertise and energy to identify and exploit business opportunities.
Ability to function effectively in a multi-ethnic, multi-disciplinary environment.
