Processing and Supply Chain Officer at Seed Co

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Manage seed processing, packaging, and logistics operations to achieve targets.
Ensure efficient utilization of labour, packaging materials, chemicals, labels, and other processing inputs.
Supervise seed processing activities to meet quality, productivity. and turnaround time targets.
Oversee seed packing operations to ensure compliance with quality and labelling standards.
Coordinate local and imported seed logistics, ensuring timely dispatch and accurate documentation.
Monitor inventory movement and enforce FIFO principles in processing and warehousing.
Liaise with transport service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
Monitor logistics performance indicators, including transport turnaround time, and freight costs.
Lead and supervise factory operations while ensuring compliance with Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (OHSE) standards.
Build and lead a high-performing processing and logistics team to deliver operational excellence.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Professional qualifications in Supply Chain Management or Operations Management will be an added advantage.
