Job Overview:
The Procurement Assistant will support the procurement function by sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating suppliers, while ensuring proper documentation and compliance. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient procurement processes across projects, particularly for IT hardware, CCTV equipment, and related services.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers for IT hardware, CCTV equipment, and related services.
Request, review, and analyze quotations; prepare comparison sheets for decision-making.
Prepare and issue purchase orders and follow up on confirmations.
Maintain and update supplier records, contracts, and pricing databases.
Track shipments and coordinate deliveries to project sites.
Assist with import documentation and delivery processes.
Organize and maintain procurement files and records systematically.
Coordinate with project, technical, and finance teams to ensure timely procurement.
Skills & Personal Attributes:
Diploma or Bachelors degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional certification in procurement such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) or equivalent is an advantage.
Proven experience as a procurement assistant or in a similar role.
Knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in project-based procurement management.
Familiarity with IT and technical equipment related to CCTV, access control, and similar systems.
1 - 2 years experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in an IT or technical environment.
