Our client in pharmaceutical industry is seeking for a Procurement Assistant who will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of pharmaceutical products while maintaining optimal inventory levels. The role supports pharmacy operations by achieving a 100% fill rate, managing supplier relationships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to efficient procurement and inventory processes.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure a 100% pharmacy fill rate by maintaining the availability of pharmaceutical products.
Manage optimal inventory levels to minimize stockouts, overstocking, and product expiry.
Coordinate the procure-to-pay (P2P) process in collaboration with the Payables Accountant.
Implement procurement policies to achieve cost savings and efficient resource utilization.
Work collaboratively with the procurement team to support organizational procurement objectives.
Support the Procurement Manager in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiations.
Ensure procurement activities comply with pharmaceutical regulations and organizational policies.
Collaborate closely with pharmacy and inventory teams to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
Participate in supplier prequalification, evaluation, and tendering processes.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of quality products.
Academic & Experience Qualification
Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Procurement & Logistics.
Additional professional qualification in Supply Chain Management is an added advantage.
At least two (1-2) years procurement experience in a healthcare or pharmaceutical environment.
Understanding of procurement regulations and healthcare compliance requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
