Job Summary
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing supplies, materials, and services required for smooth business operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong negotiation skills, vendor management experience, and the ability to ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment, and services in line with company requirements.
Identifying and evaluating reliable vendors and suppliers.
Negotiating prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Preparing purchase orders and maintaining accurate procurement records.
Tracking deliveries and resolving issues related to delays or damaged goods.
Ensuring compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Conducting market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
OND/HND/B.Sc. in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
1 - 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations.
Good negotiation and vendor management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory/procurement software.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
