Summary


The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing high-quality goods and services for the organization at competitive prices.
The role ensures timely procurement processes, maintains vendor relationships, manages inventory levels, and ensures compliance with procurement policies and standards.


Key Responsibilities


Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery capability.
Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with vendors.
Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, vendor contracts, and delivery schedules.
Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and pricing.
Coordinate with internal departments to determine procurement needs and timelines.
Inspect and verify quality of supplied goods and services.
Resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing with suppliers.
Ensure procurement activities comply with organizational and regulatory standards.


Qualifications & Requirements


Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
2 - 3 years experience in procurement, supply chain, or similar role.
Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
Good knowledge of procurement processes, market research, and inventory control.
Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software is an added advantage.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
