We are looking for a Product Manager Microbiology for our subsidiary in South Africa. He/She will ensure, in alignment with the strategy, that all conditions are met to develop the business by reaching the objectives commitments, to the organization for the Microbiology range in South Africa. The ideal candidate will report to the General Manager South Africa.

What will your responsibilities be within bioMérieux?


Develop and formalize local market and customer understanding to feed the local marketing plan,
Develop, implement and track 3 year strat plan
Be responsible for overall sales and profit target achievement for franchise
Build a KOL network (Paths, ID clinicians)
Drive AMR plans in line with DOH guidelines
Build and executes the local marketing plan, involving all necessary internal functions in alignment with the global marketing strategy,
Supports product life cycle including feed-backs and adjustments to local requirements.
Lead all activities to maintain, launch (go to market), and withdraw (go out of market) bioMérieux products and services of his/her perimeter: solution, value promotion and extraction, message and communication channels for each key stakeholder.
Align and embarks all internal and external business partners needed to execute the plan through: a clear communication of the strategy, ensure people are trained and make sure that their incentive plan is aligned with the strategy execution, ensure metrics are consistent and actionable.
Develop a measurement plan to assess the efficiency of their marketing activities and its customers and business impact.
Contribute to budget, Strategic Plan and Commercial kick-off.
Ensure alignment and communication between global, regional and local marketing organizations.


Who are you?

Knowledge and skills


Bachelors required; Post Graduate degree in Microbiology and Business/Marketing highly preferred
5 years' experience minimum in Marketing or as a Product Specialist with experience in Clinical Laboratories
