About the role
To lead Process Assurance Activities within the Haleon Nairobi Site and to ensure all Processes are initially qualified and subsequently maintained in a qualified state as per the company's Quality and Compliance standards and other major regulatory bodies.
To ensure site technical capability is appropriate to maximize the efficiency of the operations and ensure that manufacturing processes are capable and controlled through, Technical Risk Assessment (TRA), Process Validation, Product Pack development, and Qualification so that each unit meets the product quality standards both at the time of manufacture and throughout its shelf life.
Key responsibilities
Leading Product Development Technology, Technical Product Transfer, and leading delivery of product innovation for the value stream.
Manage New Product Introduction and source changes in the value stream through Technical Risk Assessment (TRA), Pack Development, Process Validation, and Technical Product Transfers thus reducing quality and technical risks.
Drive and implement product life cycle management (PLM) and validation activities in the support value stream.
Manage changes for Packaging Materials and Artwork changes affecting the site value streams.
Leading Process Robustness studies (Understanding of CPPs and CQAs) to build the capability of the products manufactured on site.
Ensuring changes with potential impact on product quality are appropriately assessed before implementation and leading the change management process.
Developing validation protocols and performing respective validation and qualification of site systems (Operation Qualification and Performance Qualification), cleaning validation and process validation.
Leading Value Engineering Initiatives within the value stream.
Perform duties in a compliant manner and behave in accordance with GMP, Site SOP's, EHS and QMS Standards and guidelines and relevant legal requirements.
Champion and promote the Data Integrity Culture program at the departmental level.
Management of technical risks in the production value stream.
Engage cross-functional teams to ensure there is a smooth flow of product through the supply chain by challenging all process hiccups within the business.
Qualifications and skills
Required
BSc. Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering.
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
Other Skills/Competencies

Management of inputs and contributions from the various functions across Site for full compliance and management of risks.
Making decisions as per the policy to ensure the business continuity as well as maintain integrity during process improvement initiatives.
