We are seeking an experienced Production Chef to join our hospital catering team, delivering high-quality, nutritious meals to patients, staff, and visitors. This role is essential in supporting patient care and recovery by ensuring food is prepared to the highest standards of safety, quality, and dietary compliance. Working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, you will be responsible for the large-scale preparation and production of meals, with a strong focus on consistency, hygiene, and meeting specialist dietary requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals in bulk in line with agreed menus and production schedules
Ensure meals meet nutritional guidelines, texture-modified diets, and special dietary needs
Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety standards in accordance with HACCP and Food Safety regulations
Operate catering equipment safely and efficiently
Support stock control, portion control, and waste reduction
Work collaboratively with catering assistants, dietitians, and supervisors
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment at all times
Skills and Competencies
Experience working as a Production Chef, Prep Chef, Line Cook, or similar high-volume kitchen role.
Strong understanding of food safety and HACCP procedures.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and organisational skills.
A positive attitude with a passion for delivering great food.
Qualifications
National Senior Certificate
Relevant culinary qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds) are desirable but not essential.
