Job Summary
The Production Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the feedmill unit, ensuring efficient production processes, quality control, equipment functionality, and adherence to safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate feed production activities in the feedmill.
Ensure efficient utilization of raw materials and production resources.
Monitor feed quality and ensure compliance with formulation specifications.
Possess basic knowledge of poultry feed formulation and feed ingredients.
Operate, monitor, and supervise the use of feedmill machines and equipment.
Ensure preventive maintenance and proper handling of production machinery.
Coordinate production staff and ensure operational discipline.
Maintain accurate production records and reports.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Work closely with management to achieve production targets and efficiency.
Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or HND in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, Agricultural Engineering, Production Technology, or related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in feedmill production or agro-allied manufacturing operations.
Basic knowledge of poultry feed formulation is mandatory.
Good understanding of feedmill machinery and production equipment.
Strong leadership, technical, and administrative skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
Added Advantage:
Experience in commercial poultry or livestock feed production.
Technical troubleshooting knowledge of feedmill equipment.
