We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Production Supervisor to join our team at a leading Agricultural Feed mill based in Delmas. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing production processes, managing plant staff, and ensuring that our feed production meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role requires a strong leader who is physically fit, detail-oriented, and capable of working within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing full production shifts, operating and maintaining machinery, and enforcing health and safety procedures. Minimum Requirements:


Degree or Diploma in Agriculture
Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Production supervisor in a Feeding Mill
Experience in working with production software and systems
Ability to operate heavy machinery, ascend and descend the plant/feed mill, and perform physically demanding tasks
Proven experience in managing staff, with strong people management skills
Ability to work on a rotating shift system, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays
Must have normal colour vision, be in good health without epilepsy, and be comfortable working at heights
Excellent communication and team management skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Commitment to health and safety standards in the workplace
Ability to work independently and handle responsibility for shift production
Own transport is preferable due to the location and shift hours
Preferably based near Delmas or willing to relocate with own accommodation arrangements


Duties and Responsibilities:


Oversee the production of animal feed at the feed mill, ensuring efficiency and quality control
Manage and operate complex production systems and programs (training will be provided)
Lead and manage a team of plant workers and casual staff during assigned shifts
Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of heavy machinery, including forklifts
Manage full production shifts, including night shifts and weekends, as part of a rotating shift system
Enforce strict adherence to Health and Safety protocols at the plant
Supervise the loading and unloading of products
Report regularly to the Shift Manager regarding production progress and any issues
Print product labels and ensure proper labelling of feed batches
