Job Purpose
The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring efficient and reliable production operations by translating production plans into daily execution.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure daily production targets are achieved within required timelines.
Monitor and control milk intake, processing, and utilization to minimize losses.
Supervise production of milk, and other dairy products.
Ensure effective CIP, sterilization, hygiene, and food safety standards.
Supervise packaging and filling machines to minimize downtime and wastage.
Ensure proper handling and accountability of packaging materials.
Maintain production records, waste reports, and shift reports.
Conduct routine quality checks before product release.
Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements.
Report machine breakdowns and operational challenges for corrective action.
Ensure availability of production materials and supplies.
Participate in cost-control initiatives and resource optimization.
Provide leadership and supervision to production teams.
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Dairy Technology, Production Management, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 3 years' experience in dairy, food processing or FMCG manufacturing.
Knowledge of dairy processing operations, quality management, and food safety.
Experience with packaging/filling machines and production equipment.
Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of GMP, HACCP principles, and workplace safety standards.
Computer proficiency; ERP experience will be an added advantage.
