Job Requirements

Professor


PhD in Mine Surveying
At least 10 years teaching experience in tertiary institution or 7 years professional experience in Mining Surveying
At least 15 articles published in accredited journals, chapters in a book and/or book publications.
Evidence of supervision of at least four Masters or Doctoral students to completion.


Associate professor:


PhD in Mine Surveying
At least 10 years teaching experience in tertiary institution or 7 years professional experience in Mining Surveying.
At least 10 articles published in accredited journals, chapters in book and/or book publications.
Evidence of supervision of at least four Masters/Doctoral students to completion


Senior Lecturer:


PhD in Mine surveying
At least 5 years teaching experience at tertiary institution, or 7 years professional experience in Mining Surveying.
At least 5 publications in accredited, peer reviewed journals.


Duties:


Teaching at the undergraduate level and supervision of postgraduate students.
Leadership and active participation in development and review of curricular for undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
Conducting active research programmes in collaboration with others within and outside the department.
Publishing research results in accredited, high-impact national and international journals.
Effectively involvement in community engagement activities of the department
Mentoring and couching of junior staff.
