Requirements :


Matric certificate, Basic qualification accredited with the SANC in terms of Government Notice R425 (i.e., Diploma/Degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification with SANC as a Professional Nurse.
Current SANC license to practice. Knowledge of quality Assurance Standards, Ideal Hospital Realization & Maintenance Framework (IHRM), and depth Knowledge of Complaints, Compliments & Suggestions, and Patient Safety Incident management, patient care, including hospital policies and guidelines. Batho Pele Principles, Computer literacy, and good report writing skills. Driver's license.


Duties :


Participate actively in the conduct of Ideal Hospital Realization & Maintenance Framework annual assessments. Participate actively in the conduct of annual Patient
Experience of Care (PEC) surveys and assist in capturing results. Participate actively in the conduct of the Daily Patient Opinion Survey (DPOS) and analysing the results thereof. Interact with complainants effectively by promptly responding to complaints and adhering to timelines as outlined in complaints management guidelines. Monitoring of hospital compliance with current guidelines.
Manage the complaints system in the hospital and report to the Quality Assurance Manager. Work closely with patients and staff to develop the best care based on patients' needs and the Department of Health guidelines.
Participate in training programmes and work closely with quality assurance leadership. Attend monthly quality assurance meetings. Play an important role in assisting the hospital in the achievement of departmental goals and objectives in terms of management of complaints and adhering to stipulated time frames according to guidelines.
Assist in the development of Quality Improvement Plans (QIP). Participate actively in clinical audit sessions. Effective use of material resources and hospital budget.
