Requirements :
Matric Certificate with Diploma/Degree in nursing (Basic, R174 or R425). Registered with the Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse and Midwife. Accredited CTOP training or willingness to undergo CTOP training.
Experience in maternal health, reproductive health, or women's health services will be an added advantage. Excellent communication, counselling, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
Duties :
Provide comprehensive CTOP services in accordance with national legislation, policies, and clinical guidelines. Deliver quality nursing and midwifery care before, during, and after CTOP procedures. Provide pregnancy options counselling and emotional support to clients. Conduct patient assessments, administer medications, and monitor recovery.
Educate clients on family planning, contraception, and reproductive health. Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure confidentiality. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, infection prevention, and patient safety programmes.
Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team. Participate in health promotion and community awareness programmes related to sexual and reproductive health.
