Job Summary


We are in search of a dedicated and strategic Program Officer to become a part of Reconnect HDI and contribute to the achievement of our goals.
The Program Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the comprehensive management of donor-funded initiatives, guaranteeing their timely delivery, adherence to budget constraints, and optimal impact for our target communities.
This position demands a versatile officer who is adept at interacting with grassroots community leaders, performing field visits, and preparing detailed reports for institutional donors.


Key Responsibilities
Program Implementation & Field Management:


Assist in the daily execution of project activities in accordance with the approved framework, and work plans.
Conduct regular field visits to project locations to monitor progress, engage with beneficiaries, and ensure that interventions are suitable for the context.
Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and capacity-building initiatives for local implementing partners and community members.


Grant Management & Donor Compliance


Assist in managing program budgets, monitor burn rates, and ensure that all expenditures comply with internal policies and stringent donor guidelines.
Assist with coordinating and monitoring attendance of other staff
Collate reports and ensuring staff fulfill programmatic reporting and financial reporting obligations.


Education & Experience


Bachelor's degree in International Development, Social Work, Public Health, Human Rights, or a related field.
2 - 3 years of practical experience in program management within the NGO space, civil society, or humanitarian sector.


Core Competencies:


Donor Knowledge: Proven experience managing projects funded by institutional donors and strict adherence to their compliance protocols.
Cultural Competence: High emotional intelligence, deep respect for diverse cultures, and the ability to work effectively with marginalized or vulnerable populations.
Communication: Exceptional writing skills for grant reporting and proposal development, coupled with strong interpersonal skills for community engagement.
Field Readiness: Willingness to travel to field locations.
