QUALIFICATIONS


National diploma in Electrical Engineering specializing in Instrumentation or computer systems


SKILLS REQUIREMENTS


5 years heavy industry which includes 2 years in senior position within a programming environment.
Sound programmable logic controllers (PLC) , Siemens S7 PLCs and Siemens Wincc Scada.
Knowledge of SAP Maintenance Modules will be to your advantage
Computer Literacy
Knowledge of the HSEC system
Good communication skills


JOB OBJECTIVES

In this role you will be reporting to the Superintendent (Instrumentation) for the following:


Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA)
Field instrumentation and various industrial networks (Ethernet, Profinet, Profibus, Modbus and fibre optic).
Maintain plant availability and operational stability in accordance with required standards
Maintain programming standards, integrity of operational interlocks and control philosophies
Planned maintenance, schedules and shutdowns
Acting in higher position, Overtime and Standby duties to be performed when so required
May be required to work shifts
Able to work under pressure; Adaptability; Attention to detail
