Key Deliverables


Ensure programmes goals, objectives, and outcomes are achieved in line with donor requirements, including programmes, budget, and partnership management.
Provide effective and efficient management of programmes, ensuring alignment with global best practices and standards. This includes developing technical, operational, and financial guidelines, policies, workplans, and budget formats that support effective monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
Lead in the design of new projects and proposals to guarantee continuous delivery of services and resource mobilization.
Develop and oversee detailed implementation plans (DIP), annual and monthly action plans, and ensure delivery according to donor requirements, project cycles, and organizational standards.
Prepare detailed project budgets in consultation with the finance department and monitor expenditures throughout the project period.
Identify risks and implement mitigation measures to ensure successful programme implementation.
Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation tools to effectively track programme progress.
Provide oversight, technical support, coaching, and leadership to staff, ensuring effective use of appropriate project implementation strategies.
Maintain constructive relationships with stakeholders and donors, including timely responses to queries and coordination of field visits.
Oversee the preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual project reports in formats that meet both donor and FSK requirements.
Align programme activities to the FSK strategic plan and ensure progress is consistently tracked.
Supervise and manage programme staff, including preparation of monthly activity schedules and budget approvals.
Contribute to the identification of staff capacity gaps, developing capacity strengthening plans and lead in building program staff capacities through training, coaching and continuous support
Chair departmental meetings to review programme performance and enforce staff time management.
Oversee vehicle and motorcycle service schedules, repair authorizations, and accident procedures in consultation with the finance department and Executive Director.
Ensure project outputs are delivered as per proposal documents and approved adjustments.
Carry out other duties as assigned by the Executive Director


Qualifications:


Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Development Studies, Project Management, or a related field.
Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
At least 5 years' experience in implementing donor-funded programmes in livelihoods and resilience, WASH, One Health, or Food and Nutrition security.
Demonstrated experience in managing grants and projects across the full cycle, including design, proposal development, budgeting, expenditure tracking, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
Demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders, particularly government officials, communities, and donors.
Proven leadership and team management skills, including staff development and capacity building.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with strong attention tocdetail.
Good understanding of communities and people within the development sector.
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
