About the Opportunity
A leading impact-focused Foundation is seeking a highly experienced Interim Consultant - Programmes & Strategic Delivery to provide short-term leadership and execution support across its programme portfolio during a transition period.
This consultancy assignment offers an opportunity to contribute to high-impact initiatives aimed at driving economic participation, strengthening resilience, and creating sustainable social and economic outcomes.
The successful consultant will ensure programme continuity, strengthen operational effectiveness, support strategic partnerships, and prepare the organisation for a seamless transition to permanent leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Oversight & Execution
Provide day-to-day oversight of programme implementation.
Ensure programmes are delivered on schedule, within scope, and aligned to intended outcomes.
Identify execution challenges and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
Strategic Delivery & Operational Strengthening
Translate strategic priorities into actionable execution plans.
Strengthen programme coordination and delivery mechanisms.
Improve operational efficiency and accountability across the portfolio.
Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement
Maintain and strengthen relationships with strategic partners and stakeholders.
Support partnership development and resource mobilisation initiatives.
Contribute to the growth of strategic collaboration opportunities.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning
Strengthen programme monitoring and performance tracking systems.
Support data-driven decision-making and reporting.
Promote continuous learning and improvement across programmes.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
Support effective governance processes.
Ensure compliance with organisational policies and risk management requirements.
Executive Support & Transition Management
Provide strategic and operational support to senior leadership.
Develop transition plans and handover documentation for the incoming programme
Requirements
Minimum of 10 years' experience in programme leadership, development, strategy execution, or related fields.
Demonstrated success in managing complex programmes and multi-stakeholder initiatives.
Strong project execution, planning, and operational management skills.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership management capabilities.
Experience in monitoring, evaluation, learning, and performance management.
Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
Ability to work independently and deliver results within tight timelines.
