Job Purpose
To coordinate and support projects, assist with managing and maintaining customer relations, project documentation and monitoring of project milestones / tasks according to agreed project plans.
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualification & Experience Required
National Diploma / Advanced Certificate (NQF 6) preferably in Project Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Office Management/ Administration or related qualification AND 2 - 3 years' experience within a project management environment, of which 1 - 2 years at a knowledge worker level worker level.
Alternative #
Senior Certificate (NQF 4) AND 5 years' related experience within a project management environment, of which 1 - 2 years at a knowledge worker level.

Microsoft skills (Proficient in) i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Demonstrated ability in Project planning, tracking, and reporting

Apply the PMO methodologies for projects ensuring that inputs and deliverables are timeous and up to specified standards.

Coordinate implementation of plans and initiatives in area of accountability.
Correctly apply policies, practices, standards, procedures and legislation in the delivery of work outputs.
Develop a short-term delivery plan, and plan unit's activities to ensure that agreed standards and objectives are met.
Effectively plan and schedule own activities to continuously improve quality and service delivery in area of specialisation.
Ensure correspondence and information received from external and internal sources is verified and receive the necessary attention.
Execute process and procedural change, implement the change and provide guidelines and support related to new requirements as a result of the change.
Monitor and report on progress, relevant issues and risks impacting deliverables and take corrective action where necessary.
Prepare records of project activities and ensure the timely processing and delivery of required materials.
Provide specialist input through the investigation of opportunities for operational and process, product and risk optimisation.
