Job Description
The Project Engineer will provide technical support to the Project Manager. Successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all technical activities, including submittals, RFI (Request for Information) management, and ensuring that the work performed on-site aligns perfectly with the approved blueprints and specifications.
Responsibilities
Technical Coordination: Review and process shop drawings and submittals. Identify and resolve technical discrepancies between architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) drawings.
Documentation Management: Manage the RFI process, ensuring timely responses from consultants to prevent site delays. Maintain "As-Built" drawings and project O&M (Operations & Maintenance) manuals.
Schedule & Progress Tracking: Assist in developing and updating the Project Master Schedule. Track material deliveries and subcontractor progress to ensure milestones are met.
Quality & Safety Compliance: Conduct site inspections to verify that the installation matches the design intent and meets local building codes. Ensure all subcontractors adhere to the company's safety manual.
Financial Assistance: Assist in the preparation of monthly progress valuations and variations. Help track project costs against the established budget.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field.
7 - 10 years of experience in on-site construction engineering or project coordination.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Primavera P6 or MS Project, and Procore (or similar Project Management software).
Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent written communication, and the ability to read complex blueprints.
