Job Summary
The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for planning, coordinating, supervising, and delivering large-scale earthworks and civil infrastructure projects from mobilisation through completion while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, budget, and programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage bulk earthworks, site grading, excavation, filling, compaction, drainage, and related civil works.
Coordinate project planning, mobilisation, execution, and close-out activities.
Lead site engineers, surveyors, QAQC personnel, HSE officers, foremen, and equipment operators.
Monitor project progress against approved schedules and productivity targets.
Ensure quality control and compliance with project specifications.
Review drawings, reports, construction methodologies, and work programmes.
Coordinate client, consultant, and contractor interactions.
Ensure proper utilisation and maintenance of heavy equipment.
Prepare weekly and monthly project reports.
Manage site resources, subcontractors, and project costs.
Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and company procedures.
Review and approve technical documentation, RFIs, and as-built records.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years' experience managing large-scale earthworks or civil infrastructure projects.
Technical Competencies:
Earthworks quantity calculations.
Site grading and level control.
Project planning and scheduling.
QAQC management.
Cost control and resource planning.
AutoCAD proficiency.
MS Project and/or Primavera P6.
Strong report-writing and communication skills.
Remuneration
