Position Summary:
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall coordination, planning, and implementation of an entrepreneurship support project targeting registered small businesses in Gaziantep. The role requires strong leadership, technical understanding of entrepreneurship support mechanisms in Türkiye, and proven experience managing multi-component projects involving training, small grants, and business fairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day implementation of all project activities, including entrepreneurship training, business advisory support, business fairs, and small grants distribution.
- Supervise and support the field project staff to maintain quality delivery.
- Oversee the small grant management process, including application screening, documentation, and fund disbursement.
- Coordinate the organization of business fairs, ensuring visibility, participation, and networking opportunities for supported entrepreneurs.
- Monitor grantee progress through regular follow-ups and ensure proper documentation and compliance with SYCAC and donor requirements.
- Liaise with local authorities, chambers of commerce, and partner organizations to facilitate coordination and outreach.
- Track project expenditures in coordination with the finance team and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
- Prepare internal and donor reports, success stories, and documentation of lessons learned.
- Support visibility and communication efforts related to the project’s achievements and impact.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, social sciences, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of project management experience, preferably in livelihoods, entrepreneurship, or SME development programs.
- Familiarity with the Turkish entrepreneurship ecosystem
- Experience in managing small business grants and coordinating business-related events or fairs.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with local authorities, private sector actors, and CSOs.
- Fluency in Turkish and English (Arabic is an asset).
- Strong organizational and reporting skills; experience using digital project management tools such as Odoo or similar systems is an advantage.
- Must be eligible to work in Turkey.
