Key Accountabilities:
Station Promotions:
Work closely with the programming manager as well as Promotions and projects manager in implementing station promotions
Produce a complete promotional brief / memo for the promotion to be followed and executed by presenters and digital teams
Prepare the web or SMS entry mechanic in time for the competition entries to be collated, either online or via the SMS/ WhatsApp engine.
Advise client or Promotions manager on these entries as they track.
Brainstorm or advise on the creative delivery and execution of competitions
Gain approval of station promotion.
Brief copywriters, sound engineers and approve copy.
Brief Digital promotions - check and manage promotions on twitter, Facebook and other social media engagements in line with station strategy.
Brief relevant digital team to upload win page onto the web site - this would include web entry in certain instances, or just to oversee that web copy and visuals are correct according to the promotional brief.
Work closely with TBC to ensure that campaigns are booked correctly
Winner and Prize Portal:
Ensure that prizes are delivered to East Coast Radio before the campaign starts
Ensure that prize monies are paid to East Coast Radio before the campaign starts
Receive and disseminate prizes to competition winners;
Meet with Mediamark finance team regularly to ensure payments are done on time
Pay winners every 2 weeks
Respond to listener queries or forward query to the relevant manager to ensure prompt response
Manage winners portal
Ensure that winners details are entered correctly
Train new producers and presenters on how to use the portal
Update the winners portal daily ensuring that all winner are receiving their prizes on time
Ensure that you adhere to all POPIA regulations and information is kept safe
PCA:
Feedback and collate information needed in order to produce the Post Campaign Analysis (PCA) this may include, web statistics, SMS entries, web page views and all information pertaining to a closed or running campaign
Create a detailed Post campaign campaign analysis that accurately showcase NTR campaigns and events within agreed deadlines.
Mediamark Liaison:
Attend to Mediamark status meetings or line conferences to implement daily or weekly competitions
Manage the implementation brief from presenter briefing to execution
Attend Mediamark training sessions from time to time.
Production of Adverts/ On-Air Promos:
Brief Engineers on competition promos, interview or other promotional requirements that need to be recorded
Brief copywriters on competition promos, live reads, interview or other promotional requirements that need to be recorded
Ensure that all scripts and audios are approved by the promotions and projects Manager before they go on air
Oversee the recording and production of approved script.
Quality control final product.
Proof read live reads as needed.
General:
Attend Product team meetings (Mondays and Thursdays at 08h30)
Attend fortnightly Mediamark meetings
Provide a monthly report on promotions in line with station strategy.
Attend to competition elements concerning trade partnerships and ensure that we adhere to the agreement signed with such trade partners
Oversee and instruct members of the promotions team.
Know and understand the terms and conditions of promotional activity on East Coast Radio.
Know and understand the CPA and other regulatory requirements for handling promotions on ours station
Educational Requirements:
Matric/ Grade 12
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements:
3-5 years experience in a radio environment
Drivers License
Basic knowledge of radio programming
Computer (MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/ Outlook)
Junior Secretarial/ Office support
