Job Summary


The QA Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and verifying the quality and performance of IDU's before deployment or after repair.
The role ensures all products meet company standards, safety regulations, and operational efficiency requirements.


Key Responsibilities


Conduct functional and performance testing of solar system.
Inspect repaired or newly assembled IDU's for defects and compliance.
Verify calibration, firmware configuration, and electrical parameters.
Document test results, faults, and corrective actions.
Perform burn-in and load testing procedures.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety and quality standards.
Support repair technicians with technical analysis.
Maintain testing equipment and QA tools.
Assist in root cause analysis for repeated product failures.
Recommend improvements for product reliability and testing processes.
Ensure all cosmetic aspect of the IDU's and accessories are duly check before packaging


Technical Duties


Measure voltage, current, frequency, efficiency, and waveform output.
Test MPPT functionality, battery charging systems, and protection circuits.
Validate inverter performance under simulated solar and load conditions.


Performance Indicators (KPIs)


Defect detection accuracy rate.
Testing turnaround time.
Reduction in field failure returns.
Compliance with QA procedures.
Documentation accuracy.


Qualifications
Education:


Diploma / HND / B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.


Experience:


1 - 3 years experience in solar, power electronics, or inverter systems testing preferred.


Required Skills:


Strong understanding of inverter systems and power electronics.
Troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of safety procedures in electrical testing.
Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
