Job Summary


Quality Assurance (QA) is a proactive, systematic process focused on preventing defects and ensuring products or services meet established quality standards and customer requirements.
It involves implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving processes—rather than just inspecting final products—to build quality into the development life cycle and increase efficiency.


Key Duties & Responsibilities


Testing and Validation: Testing software, reviewing documentation, and conducting audits to identify areas for improvement.
Monitoring Procedures: Developing and implementing workflows to reduce waste and improve production consistency.
Collaborating for Improvements: Working with teams to identify the root causes of defects and improve testing accuracy.


Core Components of Quality Assurance:


Proactive Prevention: Focuses on processes to stop defects before they occur, unlike Quality Control (QC), which identifies defects after production.
Process Improvement: QA professionals define and implement methodologies, such as checklists and audits, to ensure consistent quality standards.
Compliance and Standards: Ensuring compliance with industry standards, such as ISO 9000 or internal procedures.
Documentation: Maintaining detailed documentation, such as quality manuals and standard operating procedures (SOPs), to track performance and compliance.
