Our client is seeking a Quality Control Analyst to support quality control activities within a production environment.
The role will involve testing construction materials, conducting laboratory and field inspections, reviewing specifications, and ensuring products meet required quality, safety, and industry standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, technically strong, and experienced in materials testing and quality control, preferably within the manufacturing or construction sector.


Key Responsibilities


Inspect and test construction materials, including concrete, cement, steel, and other raw materials, through laboratory and field testing to verify strength, durability, safety, and compliance with quality standards.
Monitor production processes and enforce quality control procedures to ensure products consistently meet approved specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Review engineering drawings, project plans, specifications, and applicable standards to establish and verify required quality benchmarks.
Document and analyse test results, inspection findings, deviations, and non-conformities, and prepare accurate quality control reports with recommendations.
Identify defects and quality issues, investigate root causes, and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
Collaborate with engineers, production teams, and project managers to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement of production and quality processes.
Maintain QC testing equipment and ensure proper calibration, functionality, record-keeping, and compliance with relevant safety and quality requirements.


Key Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent relevant qualification.
Previous and recent experience in quality control, preferably within the manufacturing or construction sector.
Hands-on experience in construction materials testing, particularly concrete, cement, steel, and other raw materials.
Knowledge of quality control procedures, construction/civil engineering standards, safety regulations, and laboratory testing practices.
Proficiency in MS Excel, technical documentation, and quality control reporting, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with QC testing equipment, engineering drawings, CAD, ERP, or quality management systems is an added advantage.
