The Quality Control Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining quality control systems that ensure products, services, materials, and processes meet company standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements at Uncle Stan's Foods.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control policies, procedures, and standards.
Supervise and coordinate the Quality Control.
Establish inspection, testing, and quality assurance procedures.
Monitor production and operational processes to identify quality issues.
Ensure raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products meet specified standards.
Review and approve inspection and testing results.
Investigate product defects, customer complaints, non-conformities, and process failures.
Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Establish and monitor quality KPIs and prepare regular quality performance reports.
Conduct internal quality audits and coordinate external/customer audits.
Ensure compliance with relevant ISO standards, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.
Maintain quality documentation, inspection records, test reports, and certificates.
Work closely with Production, Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and other departments to resolve quality issues.
Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, waste, rework, and customer complaints.
Monitor supplier quality and participate in supplier evaluation and development.
Ensure testing and measuring equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
Train employees on quality standards, inspection procedures, and quality requirements.
Review quality trends and recommend improvements to management.
Ensure corrective actions are completed and remain effective.
Participate in product/process development and validation where required.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree or HND in Engineering, Science, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Professional certification in quality management is an advantage, such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CQI, ASQ, or equivalent.
Typically 3+ years of relevant quality-control/quality-management experience, with supervisory or managerial experience.
