Qualifications


Diploma or degree in food science and technology.
Training in quality control, standards and auditing.


Experience


At least 3 years progressive working experience in food processing companies.
Those with beverage processing experience is an added advantage.


Main responsibilities


Online quality control checks on the packets.
Quality checks for fruits before receiving and during ripening.
Quality control checks on line during production.
Packet integrity the seals should be air tight.
Conductivity test to check for pin holes in the packet.
The hydrogen peroxide test should negative.
The volume of the juice be 1000ml and 20ml for the juices.
Do brix test to check the percentage of sugar to ensure it meets the standards.
Do organoleptic test for colour mouthful aroma.
Product development of new juice flavours.
Titrating the lye and acid used for cleaning.
Establishes, coordinates, and monitors the laboratory quality assurance program.
Works closely with section supervisors to plan, schedule, and implement qa activities.
