About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly analytical, and qualified Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our dynamic team in Nairobi.
The successful condidate will manage all commercial aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered within budget while meeting stringent quality and regulatory parameters. Nairobi, Kenya
Key Responsibilities
Prepare comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, materials forecasts, and tender documentation.
Conduct initial fexsibility studies, cost benefit analyses, and detailed risk assessments for upcoming projects.
Administer, review, and manage contract documents in strict accordance with JRC and FIDIC standard forms.
Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, prepare monthly valuation reports, and manage variation claims.
Assess, negotiate, and finalize interim payment certificates, sub-contractor accounts, and final accounts.
Utilize modern cost-estimation and BIM software to produce accurate material take-offs and financial forecasts.
Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, and site supervisory teams to resolve commercial discrepancies.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognized institution.
Minimum of 5 years of active, practical experience in Quantity Surveying.
Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and analytical skills with exceptional attention to technical detail.
