We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team and support our property and construction-related operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for cost planning, budgeting, procurement, contract administration, valuation, and financial control across property development, renovation, and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities


Prepare detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), budgets, and project cost plans.
Conduct quantity take-offs and measurement of construction works.
Prepare and review tender documents and contractor quotations.
Evaluate bids and provide recommendations on contractor selection.
Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets.
Prepare interim valuations, payment certificates, and final accounts.
Review variations, claims, and additional works and assess their financial implications.
Conduct market research on construction materials, labour, and service costs.
Support procurement and negotiation with contractors, suppliers, and vendors.
Monitor project costs throughout the construction lifecycle.
Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
Conduct site visits to verify work completed and materials used.
Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, property managers, and other stakeholders.
Maintain accurate project cost records and financial documentation.
Prepare regular cost reports and provide management with updates on project financial performance.
Ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets and timelines.
Carry out any other duties relevant to quantity surveying and property development as assigned.


Requirements


Bachelor\'s degree/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years\' relevant experience in quantity surveying, construction, property development, or a related environment.
Strong knowledge of construction measurement, costing, BOQ preparation, and contract administration.
Experience working with contractors and construction suppliers.
Strong understanding of construction materials, labour costs, and market pricing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant quantity surveying software.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify cost discrepancies.
Ability to manage multiple projects or assignments simultaneously.
Professional certification/membership such as QSRBN or NIQS will be an advantage.
