Job Summary
The Raw Material Store Officer will support the Raw Material Store Supervisor in receiving, organizing, issuing, and maintaining accurate records of raw materials used in furniture production.
The role ensures proper inventory control, material handling, and efficient store operations to support uninterrupted production.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and verify raw materials against purchase orders and delivery notes.
Properly label, store, and organize raw materials in designated locations.
Issue materials to production based on approved requisitions and maintain accurate records.
Update stock cards and inventory records regularly.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages promptly.
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized store environment.
Assist with stock counts, inventory reconciliation, and reporting.
Ensure proper handling of materials to prevent damage or loss.
Requirements
Minimum of HND or B.Sc. in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
1 - 3 years' experience in storekeeping, warehouse, or inventory management (manufacturing experience is an advantage).
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Basic computer knowledge, especially Microsoft Excel and Word.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
Integrity and accountability.
