MINIMUM - COMPETENCIES
Knowledge of Public Service legislative frameworks, policies and processes. Good interpersonal and organizational skills. Good communication skills (written and verbal). Advanced Computer literacy packages such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word, Group Wise Internet etc.).
Ability to work in a team and independently. Willingness to occasionally work after hours when needed. Good telephone antiquate. Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles.
REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 plus a recognised Office Administration Certificate/Secretarial or Receptionist Certificates, Public Relations
DUTIES
Render receptionist services. Manage all incoming and outgoing calls. Transfer calls to the relevant extensions. Provide callers with the relevant information.
Take messages and convey to relevant staff. Keep record of all outgoing calls. Maintain telephone database and internal directory as well as contact numbers of all internal and external stakeholders.
Identify and report telephone faults to the supervisor. Maintain switchboard system.
