My client is seeking a qualified and experienced Workshop Technician/Mechanic to join their team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models, with strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and technical faults on vehicles
Carry out scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repair work
Perform detailed vehicle inspections and communicate findings clearly (both verbally and in writing)
Recommend and implement appropriate solutions to technical issues
Remove, install, and replace vehicle parts and components
Accurately complete and update job cards and related documentation
Conduct final checks and testing to ensure vehicles are ready for handover
Uphold high-quality workmanship with strong attention to detail
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 with an N3 qualification
Qualified Artisan / Trade Tested Mechanic
Minimum of 4 years' hands-on experience in a similar role
Valid driver's licence
Proven diagnostic and fault-finding ability
Experience working with diagnostic systems
Competent in servicing, repairs, and standard vehicle installations
Solid technical knowledge of vehicle systems and components
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Reliable, organised, and professional work approach
Able to work independently as well as within a team
Good verbal and written communication skills
