About the Role
The Refueller is responsible for the towing, deployment, refueling, and recovery of mobile units. Actual and potential generator non-conformities are identified and addressed, with corrective and preventative actions taken and reported to upper management.
Key Responsibilities
The Refueller's role will involve the Towing, Deployment, Refueling and Recovery of Mobile Generator Units.
Refueling of Static Generators.
Performing basic Power checks and facilitate manual changeover between Eskom and Generator supply.
Maintaining the general condition and cleanliness of Generators, Bowsers, and all Company Assets.
Perform Quality measures and Audits.
Oversee and identify the possible risks that may affect H&S, workflow, quality, performance, etc., and must report all risks identified on time in the proper means of communication to urgency.
Plan generator repairs.
Will be expected to travel and perform tasks in different regions from time to time.
Weekly generator Inspections on Site.
Requirements
Matric / Grade 12
Valid Code 08 EB/EC or EC1 Driver's License
Dangerous Goods Driving Permit
Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
ECB1 Trailer Towing License/Certification
Minimum 1 years' experience working on telecommunications sites
Knowledge of generator maintenance and operation
Knowledge and/or experience in generator dispatching and deployment
Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel)
Medically fit in accordance with Health & Safety requirements
Willingness to travel and work in different regions as required
Preferred Qualifications
Mechanical Trade Test
Experience in the facilities management, telecommunications, or service management industry
Experience with mobile and static generator operations
HIRA training
Fire Fighting certification
First Aid certification
Knowledge of Integrated Management Systems (IMS)
Experience conducting generator inspections, audits, and quality checks
Experience with generator deployment, recovery, and fuel management operations
