Bilnor Staffing Solutions' client in the Watercare sector is seeking a Regional Maintenance Manager for position in Cape Town, WC. South African Citizens and those living in the area will be preferred.


Minimum Requirements:


Trade Test Certificate - Controls and Instrumentation (Red Seal)
5 years post trade test related work experiences, preferably within water treatment operations
N3 / NCV 4- C&I
Valid code 08 drivers licence
Extensive Experience on Siemens PLCs & Adroit SCADA software fault finding and programming
Experience in Profibus fault finding
Reporting to the Director Operations/Operations Manager: seeking a dynamic and strategic Regional Maintenance Manager to lead and enhance maintenance and asset management practices across operations in the Western Cape.
This role goes beyond traditional maintenance execution and plays a key strategic role in shaping asset management strategy, ensuring contractual compliance, and improving operational reliability across multiple sites. The incumbent will be responsible for implementing modern maintenance systems, driving technological improvements, and ensuring that equipment, machinery, and infrastructure operate efficiently to meet the company's operational and contractual obligations.
The role includes providing technical leadership and maintenance support services to all Operation & Maintenance contracts and projects managed by us. This includes Electrical, Mechanical and Instrumentation (E,M&I) infrastructure and equipment installations at water and wastewater treatment works, pump stations, dewatering facilities, water and wastewater infrastructure systems and control systems.
The position will be based at Macassar, Western Cape, and will also oversee the implementation of new E,M&I projects, upgrade projects and technological interventions, supporting the continuous modernization and reliability of operational infrastructure.


CRITICAL PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES


Play a strategic leadership role in shaping and implementing the Company's asset management strategy while ensuring contractual compliance and operational excellence.
Lead and mentor maintenance teams, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
Conduct monthly GMR 2.1 plant inspections and audits, ensuring timely corrective actions and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Develop implementation of Company's asset management policy, strategy and objectives.
Manage the maintenance processes to ensure the optimal functioning of production processes / operations.
Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, contractual agreements and safety guidelines.
Drive the implementation and optimization of the Computerised Maintenance Management
System (CMMS), including spares and asset lifecycle management.
Champion technology-driven maintenance practices, including condition monitoring, predictive maintenance and digital maintenance systems.
Manage condition monitoring activities, including vibration analysis and infrared scanning to improve asset reliability. Develop and maintain operational and strategic maintenance reports to support data-driven decision making.
Coordinate with suppliers and service providers regarding spares, equipment and materials.
Ensure preventative maintenance and spares management systems are effectively implemented and maintained.
Provide guidance on breakdowns, corrective maintenance and root cause analysis to minimise downtime and improve system performance.
Conduct maintenance audits and compile corrective action plans.
Maintain effective administration, reporting and control procedures to meet performance objectives.
Ensure efficient resource planning and management to achieve operational targets.
Maintain high levels of client satisfaction by delivering professional and reliable service.
Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration between sites and the engineering department to strengthen organisational capability.
