The Regional Veterinary Manager is responsible for providing strategic, clinical, and operational leadership across multiple veterinary sites within an assigned region. This role ensures high standards of animal health, welfare, clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and business performance while supporting and developing veterinary teams to deliver consistent, quality services.
Key Deliverables
Implement approved OHL sales fulfilment process(es).
Supervise and manage the regional field force (where applicable) activities to ensure professional conduct and achievement of set company objectives.
To take direct responsibility for key accounts to ensure that long-term customer relationship is built and maintained to achieve the goals of OHL and of Olam IFP at large.
To ensure sales of regional chicks' quota are fully sold within the given time frame and in accordance with company SOPs. To conduct regular regionwide customer satisfaction survey and develop customer satisfaction plans consistent with the peculiarities of the region to improve customer satisfaction in compliance with company policies.
To update management on progress of OHL customers, market realities and activities of competitors within the coverage region from time to time through relevant periodic reports
Strategic Effectiveness
To suggest and channel incentive strategies as appropriate for Customers and Team motivation towards achieving set objectives to the management as the need arises.
To ensure regular feedback to management on field force activities and performance changes in his coverage region for adequate and effective decision and strategic changes To develop regional plan(s) to ensure adequate and effective customer management, effective coverage by ASM's (where applicable), meet sales quotas and check Customers and Reports compliance from time to time.
To ensure regular, weekly and monthly field reports on sales progress and competition are sent for the region.
Render weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and customer satisfaction report to the line Manger as may be required/requested.
To attend and participate as may be directed by the Line Manager, periodic performance review and planning sessions (Plan of Action sessions).
To continue to work in synergy with other IFP units & departments where appropriate to achieve the bigger Business Goals.
Any other duty that may be assigned by the NSM-OHL and the NSM-IFP
Requirements
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent veterinary degree from an accredited institution.
Full registration and license to practice veterinary medicine in the relevant jurisdiction.
Minimum of 5 years post-qualification veterinary experience. Strong leadership, people management, and coaching skills.
Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving ability.
Commercial and operational acumen.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
Ability to travel frequently across the region.
Proficiency in veterinary management systems and reporting tools
