Job Description / Responsibilities
Provide safe, professional, and compassionate nursing care to patients.
Monitor patients' condition and record vital signs accurately.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
Assist doctors during clinical procedures and ward rounds.
Provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to patients (for Midwives).
Assist in labour and delivery, including monitoring mother and baby.
Educate patients and relatives on treatment plans, medications, and home care.
Maintain proper nursing documentation and patient records.
Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention and control measures.
Respond promptly to medical emergencies.
Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the ward and nursing station.
Ensure proper use and handling of hospital equipment and supplies.
Participate in hospital trainings, meetings, and continuous professional development.
Work collaboratively with doctors, pharmacists, laboratory staff, and other healthcare workers.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
Requirements / Qualifications
Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Registered Midwife (RM).
Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
Must possess a valid practicing license.
Minimum of 2 years hospital working experience
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be responsible, compassionate, and hardworking.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Commitment to high professional and ethical standards.
Additional Skills Required:
Good patient care and observation skills
Ability to handle emergency situations calmly
Basic knowledge of computer use for documentation
