JOB CONTEXT:
Reporting to the Area Manager, the Rehabilitation Project Manager contributes to the implementation of the mandate and the 10-year strategy of Humanity & Inclusion in the country where s/he is based. S/he is responsible for implementing his/her project. S/he ensures optimal quality and the impact of the project implemented by means of a delegation system with appropriate oversight mechanisms. With all the other HI managers, the project manager shares responsibility for the sound management and effective functioning of the global organization.

Main mission challenges (renewal of funding, new partnerships, ROOTS deployment, regionalization:
- Manage the project;
- Continue the development of this component in Darfur;
- Contribute to the fundraising effort;
- Opening potential new project;
- Recruit and support the local team.
YOUR MISSION:
Mission 1: Providing guidance and technical support to projects in accordance with the technical frameworks and general standards of his/her sectoral scope
- Provide appropriate technical guidance and support to project leaders and/or specialists.
- Ensure project(s) activities are implemented in accordance with internal quality and technical standards and propose adjustments or improvements as necessary.
- Adapt project documentation as required, in accordance with global technical standards and norms.
- Contribute to the regular reporting of technical activities of its scope (collection and analysis of technical data collected) in conjunction with the project team and the MEAL team.
- Where appropriate, coordinate and collaborate with the project's technical partners as delegated by the Specialist or Project Manager.
Mission 2: Providing project-based technical learning
- Share essential information with global and field technical specialists and collaborate with technical divisions as needed.
- Collect data for project capitalization, scientific documentation, and technical learning based on best practices.
- Implement audit recommendations and ensure technical quality by self-evaluating and participating in project evaluations.
- Apply norms and standards, and adjust activities according to project audits and technical recommendations.
- Propose research topics, oversee related data collection, and contribute to evaluation terms of reference.
Mission 3: Contributing to the animation of his/her sector
- Support technical recruitment, training, and skills development within the sector, including assessment and coaching as needed.
- Facilitate professional development through communities of practice and deliver technical training to staff.
- Participate in operational data design, collection, and processing, ensuring alignment with sector guidelines and IM/MEAL principles.
Mission 4: Contribute to ensure the technical influence of HI on its perimeter
- Contribute to the writing of new proposals for new opportunities within its technical scope.
- Represent HI’s technical expertise in networks and with partners as needed.
- Coordinate and collaborate with technical project partners when delegated.
- Support advocacy efforts in their area.
- Draft project content and proposals relevant to their technical scope.
Mission 5: Emergency Preparedness and Response Responsibilities
- Contribute to the support or implementation of emergency preparedness actions of the program(s) and, during an emergency, adapt his/her work modality in order to contribute to an effective HI humanitarian response.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE POSITION:
The situation in Tawilah is relatively calm. There is no conflict at present. The town is relatively isolated; it takes two days by car to reach the Sudanese town near the border with Chad. There are risks of waterborne diseases. The entire security package is up to date and there is a HAS (Security) and a liaison officer present on the base. The route to reach the base goes via: N'djamena (international flight) then NDJ to Adré via UNHAS flights and finally by car to the Geneina’s base (west Darfur). Then, 2 days by road to reach Tawilah. In terms of conditions, the teams are housed in a collective guesthouse, in the same building as our offices.
YOUR PROFILE:
- You have a relevant degree in the field of physical rehabilitation with at least 4 years in the field of physical rehabilitation and 2 years of experience in capacity building, technical supervision.
- Experience in an early rehabilitation project or a rehabilitation project linked to emergencies, chronic crises.
- Proven training and local capacity-building experience.
- Ability to deal with rapidly changing context and plan.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work in remote, insecure areas.

- R&R: 5 days every 8 weeks => + possible transport/package support;
- Position: Unaccompanied;
- Housing: Collective taken in charge by HI;
