Job Summary
The Rental Manager is responsible for overseeing the rental operations of engineering equipment and machinery.
This includes managing rental inventory, coordinating logistics, ensuring equipment availability and maintenance, handling client contracts, and maximizing rental revenue.
The role requires strong operational knowledge of engineering equipment and excellent client relationship management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management:
Oversee day-to-day rental operations of engineering equipment (e.g., generators, compressors, heavy machinery, tools, etc.)
Ensure proper scheduling, dispatch, and return of rented equipment
Monitor equipment utilization rates and optimize asset performance
Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs with technical teams
Ensure all equipment meets safety and compliance standards
Sales & Business Development:
Develop strategies to increase rental revenue and market share
Prepare quotations, negotiate rental terms, and close contracts
Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, project managers, and industrial clients
Identify new business opportunities in construction, oil & gas, infrastructure, or industrial sectors
Inventory & Asset Control:
Maintain accurate records of rental inventory and asset tracking
Monitor equipment condition and lifecycle
Plan procurement of new rental equipment based on demand
Financial & Administrative:
Set pricing strategies aligned with market trends
Monitor revenue, expenses, and profitability of rental operations
Prepare monthly performance and utilization reports
Ensure timely invoicing and payment follow-ups
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure compliance with engineering standards and local regulations
