The Research & Business Development Officer - Alternative Media will be responsible for identifying, developing, and commercializing innovative alternative outdoor advertising media. The role combines market research, product development, and active business development to drive new revenue streams and strengthen the company's market leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Research & Innovation
Research and identify alternative and non-traditional outdoor advertising media opportunities.
Analyse market trends, consumer movement patterns, and emerging advertising formats.
Benchmark global and regional alternative media innovations and localise them for market adoption.
Conduct feasibility studies covering cost, scalability, compliance, and ROI.
Develop concept proposals, pilot projects, and media product briefs.
Business Development & Sales
Package alternative media solutions into sellable advertising products.
Actively market and sell alternative media solutions to agencies, brands, and direct clients.
Develop pricing models, proposals, and pitch decks for clients.
Work closely with the Sales team to integrate alternative media into broader media plans.
Build and maintain relationships with key clients, agencies, and strategic partners.
Track performance of deployed media and identify opportunities for repeat or expanded business.
Collaboration & Reporting
Liaise with Operations, Creative, Legal, and Finance teams to support rollout and compliance.
Prepare research reports, sales updates, and performance reviews for management.
Support contract negotiations and implementation of approved media solutions.

Strong research, analytical, and insight-generation skills.
Proven business development and selling ability.
Good understanding of OOH, alternative media, experiential marketing, and digital integration.
Commercial mindset with the ability to convert ideas into revenue.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Development, Media Studies, Innovation, or a related field.
3 - 5 years' experience in research, advertising, media sales, business development, or product innovation (OOH or media industry preferred).
Demonstrated experience selling media solutions or developing new products is a strong advantage.
Knowledge of outdoor advertising regulations and public space engagement is a plus.
