The Retail Analyst supports the Retail Operations Lead by providing data-driven insights to optimize retail performance across Airtel Nigeria's store network. This role focuses on analyzing sales trends, customer behavior, and operational metrics to improve decision-making, enhance efficiency, and drive revenue growth. Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Reporting
Collect, analyze, and interpret retail performance data across all stores and regions.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports and dashboards.
Track key metrics such as sales, footfall, conversion rates, and product performance.
Sales & Performance Insights
Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities to improve store performance.
Support the Retail Operations Lead with insights to drive sales strategies and initiatives.
Conduct variance analysis against targets and recommend corrective actions.
Inventory & Product Performance Monitoring
Analyze stock levels, product availability, and sell-through rates.
Identify slow-moving or high-demand products and provide recommendations.
Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure optimal stock distribution.
Customer Experience Analytics
Analyze customer feedback, complaints, and satisfaction metrics (CSAT/NPS).
Provide insights to improve in-store customer experience and service delivery.
Monitor service turnaround times and identify improvement areas.
Process Improvement Support
Identify inefficiencies in retail operations using data analysis.
Support process improvement initiatives and track their impact.
Assist in the rollout and evaluation of new retail programs and campaigns.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with retail teams, sales, marketing, and finance departments.
Provide analytical support for business reviews and strategy sessions.
Present insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related field.
Relevant Experience & Functional / Technical Skills
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, retail analytics, or business intelligence.
Experience in telecom, retail, or FMCG is an advantage.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
Ability to interpret large datasets and generate actionable insights
Good communication and presentation skills
Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Basic understanding of retail operations and KPIs
