Job Summary
We are looking for highly driven and well-networked individuals to join our team as Retainer-Based Insurance Sales Agents. The ideal candidates will be responsible for selling all lines of insurance business—including general, medical, and life—while meeting and exceeding set monthly targets.
This is a performance-based role with a monthly retainer, commission, and tiered incentives.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively source and close insurance business across general and life insurance lines.
Build and manage a strong pipeline of clients across personal and corporate sectors.
Meet and surpass monthly premium targets.
Educate clients on insurance products, policy terms, and benefits.
Maintain long-term relationships with clients through consistent follow-ups and service.
Submit accurate reports on leads, conversions, and client feedback.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following qualification paths:
Option 1:
KCSE mean grade of D+ or higher, and
At least 3 years' experience in the Financial Services industry in Kenya (e.g., microfinance, banking, SACCOs, mobile lending, credit institutions).
Option 2:
University Degree (any discipline), and
At least 1 year of proven experience in bancassurance, (Microfinance, banking, SACCOs, mobile lending, credit institutions), or Insurance
Ideal Candidate Traits
Strong personal and professional network in Kenya.
Goal-oriented and self-driven with a track record of meeting sales targets.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Familiarity with IRA regulations and insurance products is a plus.
Certificate of Proficiency (COP) in insurance or willingness to obtain it.
