We are looking for an experienced Rigger Chargehand for our Fittershop - Engineering to join our busy fishing operations. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for supervising rigging activities and ensuring safe, efficient deck operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
Lead and supervise rigging crew
Assist the Foreman in effectively ensuring that work conditions on the vessel are safe to carry out operations.
Effectively provide instructions and engage in collaborative efforts with the Crane Operator to facilitate the lifting and placement of the component onto the quay side
Rig the vessels engine or pumps onto the deck.
Conduct safety checks and toolbox talks
Provide workshop members with clear instructions regarding the essential instruments they should bring.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Proven experience as a Rigger Chargehand
4 - 5 years rigging experience
Trade Test Qualification
KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES
HSE (health, safety, environmental) knowledge: A strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures, including knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards
Ability to work in high-pressure environment
Rigging techniques: Proficiency in various rigging techniques, including lifting, hoisting, and securing loads using appropriate tools and equipment.
Understanding the mechanical aspects of marine components and systems
