Job Summary


The Risk & Compliance Officer will be responsible for identifying business risks, monitoring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements, and promoting a strong culture of accountability across the organization.
The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in risk or compliance roles within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities


Conduct periodic risk assessments and support the development of mitigation plans.
Monitor and ensure adherence to internal control policies, SOPs, and regulatory standards.
Assist in developing and updating compliance policies and frameworks.
Conduct internal reviews and compliance audits across departments.
Track and report compliance breaches and follow up on corrective actions.
Stay updated on relevant Nigerian regulatory requirements and ensure company-wide compliance.
Provide compliance awareness training and promote risk consciousness among employees.
Support external audit and regulatory engagement activities.


Requirements


Bachelor's Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or any related field.
2 - 4 years relevant experience in Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, or Internal Control within an FMCG or manufacturing company.
Professional certifications (e.g., CIPM, ICAN, ACCA, CRMA, CISA, NIM, CFE) are an added advantage.
Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, internal controls, and Nigerian regulatory standards.
Excellent analytical, investigative, and report-writing skills.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
