Roster of National Consultants for Loss and Damage, Global Programme Division at UNICEF
UNICEF
Key responsibilities
To ensure this work is informing and informed by the intergovernmental process
Work to strengthen national reporting and monitoring systems, integrating age-disaggregated data sources and systems and child-sensitive indicators. This includes leveraging the Global Children Hazard Database and promoting its uptake with governments and embedding within national loss and damage policies.
Contribute to trainings and knowledge-sharing sessions for UNICEF staff and partners, including regular updates to UNICEF HQ, CoEs and COs.
Loss and Damage interventions are highly context-specific and require a country-led, country-owned approach. For this reason, locally based consultants are best positioned to deliver this support, leveraging their knowledge of national systems, priorities, and languages to facilitate a bottom-up process for FRLD proposal development.
