Our client is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to join a leading FMCG Manufacturing Company in Amuwo Odofin, Lagos.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments within the facility.
Ensure compliance with all statutory safety regulations and company policies.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
Organize safety trainings, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees.
Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce safety standards.
Maintain accurate safety records and prepare periodic HSE reports.
Coordinate emergency response activities and safety drills.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's Degree or HND in a relevant field.
Professional HSE certifications (HSE 1, 2 & 3) are required.
Sound knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
Strong communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
