Job Summary


As an Associate within the Africa Sales team, you will work closely with global partners across Emerging Markets and Development Markets Sales and Structuring, Trading and Research. This role offers a unique opportunity to deepen your knowledge of global fixed income products, derivatives, and structured solutions
You will actively engage with a diverse client base in South Africa and across Sub-Saharan Africa, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor. Your responsibilities will include identifying and developing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships and executing transactions that contribute directly to revenue growth. This is a pivotal role for someone eager to make a significant impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.


Job Responsibilities


Manage the distribution of fixed income flow products to institutional clients, ensuring effective coverage and execution.
Build, maintain, and deepen relationships with key institutional clients, including asset managers, pension funds, banks, hedge funds, and insurers.
Collaborate with internal teams in Global Sales and Structuring, Trading, and Research to deliver comprehensive market insights and product expertise.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities within fixed income.
Prepare and present well-researched trade ideas and recommendations, showcasing the firm's products and services to clients.


Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills


Strong numeracy and analytical skills, with proficiency in data-driven analytics to generate and support trade ideas and client solutions.
Proven quantitative skills and experience with pricing fixed income and interest rate derivatives.
Deep understanding of fixed income markets and the factors that influence them, including macroeconomic, geopolitical, and regulatory factors.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage clients and collaborate with internal teams.
Agile and resilient in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment, maintaining a solutions-oriented mindset.


Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills


Minimum 3-5 years in FICC sales or related financial markets.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven track record of driving business growth and client engagement.
