Job Objective
To generate high-quality leads and support conversions for the 5kW and 10kW Solar Home System (SHS) products through proactive outbound engagement and customer relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation:
Conduct outbound calls to prospective and existing customers to promote renewable energy products and solutions.
Qualify leads based on customer energy needs, usage patterns, and affordability.
Schedule follow-up calls and coordinate field sales visits where required.
Maintain accurate call logs, lead status updates, and customer records using CRM systems or MS Excel.
Technical Sales Support:
Provide basic to intermediate technical guidance on solar systems, PPS, and related renewable energy solutions.
Assess customer load requirements and recommend appropriate product configurations.
Clearly explain system specifications, performance expectations, installation requirements, and maintenance guidelines in non-technical language.
Escalate complex technical inquiries to the engineering team when necessary.
Customer Engagement & Conversion:
Clearly communicate product benefits, warranties, and after-sales support offerings.
Address customer objections and technical concerns to improve conversion rates.
Follow up consistently to drive deal closure and ensure smooth handover to field sales or installation teams.
Reporting & Performance Management:
Meet or exceed daily and monthly call, lead generation, and conversion targets.
Provide periodic reports on call activities, lead quality, customer feedback, and market insights.
Support management with data-driven insights on customer demand trends and frequently asked technical questions.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
2 - 4 years of relevant experience in sales or customer service, preferably within the energy or renewable energy sector.
Strong proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
Good understanding of Nigeria's power sector (added advantage).
Excellent communication, persuasion, and customer engagement skills.
In-depth knowledge of the power sector in Nigeria, a plus.
