Our client, a leading industrial refrigeration manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join their growing team. This opportunity is ideal for a technically minded sales professional with experience in industrial refrigeration, HVAC&R, or process cooling systems who enjoys building client relationships and developing customised engineering solutions.
This role combines technical expertise with business development and offers the opportunity to work with clients across the food processing, cold storage, beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, logistics and manufacturing industries.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the industrial refrigeration market.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with consultants, contractors, engineers, end users and key decision-makers.
Conduct customer visits, site inspections and technical consultations.
Analyse client requirements and recommend suitable refrigeration solutions.
Prepare quotations, technical proposals and tender submissions.
Present technical solutions and product offerings to clients.
Work closely with engineering, manufacturing and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Support project handovers and maintain communication throughout project implementation.
Maintain accurate sales forecasts, CRM records and pipeline reports.
Attend industry exhibitions, networking events and customer meetings.
Deliver exceptional customer service and ongoing after-sales support.
Minimum Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics or a related technical field.
3 - 8 years' experience in industrial refrigeration, HVAC&R, process cooling or a similar technical environment.
Previous experience in technical sales, business development or application engineering.
Experience with industrial refrigeration systems including ammonia (NHÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂ), COÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂ, glycol or similar refrigerants will be advantageous.
Strong understanding of industrial refrigeration equipment, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, heat exchangers, pumps and control systems.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and P&IDs.
Good understanding of refrigeration principles and thermodynamics.
Computer literate with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
AutoCAD or refrigeration selection software experience would be advantageous.
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.
